Melwyn Sir, This was the first time i attended. Cant thank the team of organisers and sponsors enough. Following insights shook me 1) the advantage and possibilités that unbelonging and being à outsider offers. This is s révélation that helps not only poetry but life as à whole. 2) though i knew how language of poetry differs From prose listening her perspective was a pleasing expérience especially due to the accuracy of her rhetoric. 3)i recognised better the fact that ''you can recognise something Even before you understand''. 4) the concept of mystery in poetry, solved my life long struggle with the need to understand, im thankfuly liberated. 5) and the things she said about meaning-this too helps greatly, often inspite of enjoying à poem, not understanding à nook left the layman reader in me as dejected as à man with premature e. Mam has saved my pain. Knowing the fact that value of poem isnt stacked in meaning alone saves me much dejection. 5) Her insights on her journey of aorenticeship was quite helpful and encouraging. It demythified the process of becoming à poet to certain extent. 6) the value of silence was an amazing fact 7) Her example of Shakunthala and the insight that being marginal need not be à cause to be apologetic but is à reason to celebrate. 8) last but the least, as à border line case everywhere, i liked the statement, being in the border présents an opoortunity to reach out to many nations wayà great optimistic note to both the non writer and amateur reader within me. Thanks à million. Will be thankful if i can repay part of the debt someday.

One very unique thing about Wilson Kateel is that he writes and leaves the beautification task to the reader. He gives the brick and we build our palaces. Amazing characteristic!

I was in a big dilemma for the past 24 hrs.. as whether to or not to comment about Arundhati Subramaniam's lecture organised by Kavita trust last evening.. as I was very much doubtful about my eligibility to do so. .but th irresistible urge the compulsion within me is making me pen down a few things. After having experienced last evening's event.. I realised for the first time that I don't know English language!! Though still I believe that English is a foreign language, the great writer & poet has made me fall in love with English since last evening.. I too liked the unique concept of not decoding everything in life.. like many others..the natural, spontaneous, continuous flow of words.. the style, the play she had with the language was simply amazing!! It was an exciting travell to a totally different, unfamiliar, unknown world with lot of discoveries for the first time.. though it was new encounter deliberately choosen it was something like the teasing rain s in early summers, like th bright sunshine admist heavy monsoons, like the tempting coolness of winter.. like the refreshing dawns of the spring... like the freshness of blooming flowers.. it was a real soother for the suppressed feelings of one's inner self..as reading habits are almost faded..I strongly believe our younger generations should be exposed to such great events like last evening's..atleast if not anything else.. it will make them love something called words & they may b motivate to explore more into that world which they otherwise don't belong..I thank my Melvyn sir for this great opportunity for me.. it will b haunted for a long time.. Thank you sir

Arundhathi Subramaniam's scanning of the elements of poetry is thought-provoking. Her argument as a swinging pendulum from form to content, art to science and the semantic deliberations excite us to lean towards poetry. Kudos to Kavita Trust and thanks to Daijiworld.com for sharing with photo-journalism (courtesy: Dayanand Kukkaje.. as if we-in distance mode- are there with the audience!) What Arundhathi Subramaniam is trying to say...lingering aroma of poetry still in my mind...I continue to enjoy...
