(Thru Whatsapp) This is something serious. It has to reach the concerned authority. The book should go through peer review process right away. Clarification has to be sought from the panel for erroneous meaning of words. While saying that I also feel one perception of the poem shouldn't be thrusted upon others. It is high time we stop murdering perceptions. When I was a student I always wondered what Shakespeare or Keats or Wordsworth might have thought while writing a poem. I was unhappy the way some of my teachers wanted me to understand it the way they wanted me to. It's wrong. One can only provide the meaning of words used in the poem (correct meaning). Even ting/giving the timeline for a poem is arguable (poet can create a past or a future of his/she own in his poem). If a teacher wants to describe a poem he/she should be free to do so but should be courteous enough to say "this is how I perceive it, you are free to perceive it the way you want to". And ultimately while judging answers only the grammar or way of writing should be considered and not the perception of a student!

This is really shocking! What is happening in the name of Konkani??? I have got an impression over time that in Konkani after all the barriers of script and dialect are overlooked, there are two types of people at work. One, very talented and dedicated poets and writers who make you feel that Konkani is no push over at the world stage. The other, some men and women who make a living in the name of Konkani by what they do! What do they do? There must be so much to do that is purely their domain! Making text books for gullible young minds must be one of them!! Well, how do they even dare to do such things?? This is condemnable. Those responsible, please respond. I am glad that this is put on public domain.
