Konkani Music Owes You!
- Maxim Lobo, Spain

I took good time to listen to the much anticipated 'Dini Dini'. And I am glad to tell you that I am delighted with the work.

Perfection reverberates in all departments: lyrics, music, singing, and recording; it is indeed a rare act. The tunes keep lurking in my facutlies lingering to be savoured long after…

Music is amazing; without doubt top class, the tunes have a rich variety. Every time Alwyn Fernandes breathes music, he keeps raising the bar.

Rony D’Cunha shines out in the star studded line-up to prove that he is second to none. Alwyn apart from his innovative supply of music has admirably excelled in his classical solo. Warren is impressive, Adolf is exciting, Joy looks promising.

The other stalwarts: Sunidhi, Guru Kiran, Vasundhara Das, Soumya and Lorna need no praise, they have lived up to their stature; even on accent they don’t look offbeat.

Melvyn, great dream, splendid work, excellent outcome. Bravo! Dini dini shall figure right up there.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Melvyn + Alwyn combo comes up with more classics in the future.

Personally I would have wished at least one of our own female artists – I guess there is no dearth - to have been showcased in the Album to prove mettle.

I am sure to everyone who approaches the album with an open heart is awaiting an artistic gala.

Once again Melvyn and all your collaborators, my salutes to you. Konkani music owes you.

Wishing him and everyone involved with this album the best!

'Dini Dini' Sounds Unique and Bold
- Edwin and Jane D'Souza, Mangalore

We have just bought the CD and right now I am playing it for the second time, now on my computer. We do not have a seasoned ear for music but we dare say that this CD sounds unique and bold. The lyrics, of course, do not have your poetic touch, nevertheless, it makes good "hearing".

Dini Dini - A World Class Album
- Kishoo, Barkur

I am immensely enjoying Dini Dini!

I had little inclinations about one or two numbers initially and now I like them all after listening to them several times! Specially 'mhajyaayi angnnanth polle' and 'tho suryomooo kadlo' are the superb numbers.  In 'suryomooo kadlo' and ' dini dini' guitar work is world class.  So is the percussion programming in 'naaka naaka'.  Wonderful fusion music.  I hope all will know about the greatness of the CD.

The Ultimate Quest of 'East Meets the West'
- Osmond Rego, Mumbai/Dubai

The album Dini Dini is a milestone in the ultimate quest of ''East meets the West''. It is an achievement, which has proved that people from our own land can bring together their talents & skills to the global front & make the world sit up & take notice. Never before in the history of Konkani music has such a compilation of ''Meaningful lyrics'' & ''Multi-Skilled'' artists from across industries, religions, languages & national borders assumed such great heights. Listening to these tracks who’d guess that most of them have been sung by people who’ve never spoken a word of ‘konkani’ in their entire life. It just goes to show how brave & innovative this album is apart from the rest. The brilliant music arrangement ranges from ''soothing'' tracks like ‘AANGNNANT’ to the catchy ‘NAKA NAKA’ & ‘KULKULTA’, the melodious ‘UME UME’ & the boisterous trio of ‘PAVGE’. Lorna known as the nightingale of GOA too has made a ‘noteworthy’ impact with her comeback to the world of Konkani Music through the last track ‘HANV GAITOLIM’. Alwyn Fernandes, himself an accomplished guitarist & acclaimed music director has sung a memorable solo, ‘THO DURYO-MU RODLO’ which brings out beautifully the essence that “lyrics make a song what it is!” Melwyn Rodrigues – the man behind all the lyrics is already an established name in the konkani world of poetry. The title song ‘DINI DINI’ tells a story about a ‘walk’. With this release it looks like we Mangaloreans’ are all set to “Walk the Talk!!!” KUDOS to all those behind this production!!!

Unique Blend of Two Great Talents
- Uttam Menezes, Bendur/Sharjah

I have been an ardent fan of Konkani Music. We have had great konkani composers such as Konkan Kogul Wilfy, Konkan Kalashree Claud, Sangeeth Samrat Henry, Mike Simons, Jerome, Melvyn Peris, Maxim Pereira, Mick Max, Vincent Fernandes, Lawrence Bondel, and Eric Ozario etc. I have always enjoyed their music. They are all Unique in their Compositions and tunes. Quite recently there are few new composers who have taken the konkani music into the new generation. “ Piyega Piyega”, the classy album “Thun Ye” and Roshu Belman Album. But “ Dini Dini” has Class of its own. I have heard a lot about Mr. Melvyn Rodrigues and Mr. Alwyn Fernandes. The unique blend of these two great talents has brought out a great class album. You have to listen to this album at least thrice before giving any opinion. This music is not like the songs we have always heard of. The lyrics have deeper meaning. The music of Alwyn is too good. He is gifted to Konkani. As far as singing is concerned it’s great to hear all the bollywood singers singing konkani without any accent. The song of Alwyn, Lorna and Wasundhara are my favorites. But all the eight songs are hit songs. I congratulate Melvyn and Alwyn for this great album and I wish more and more such meaningful albums come, so that the konkani music will reach greater heights.

Dini Dini – Master piece of Konkani Music
- Jane Ida, Mangalore/Muscat

First and foremost, please allow us to put our hands together and convey our joyful feelings with loudest possible applaud to the creators of Dini Dini – Konkani Musical masterpiece. Dini Dini is one of the best musical album of our times which illuminates a perfect harmony of melodious music, vibrates with the symmetric symphony of voices and above all the mastery of lyrics.

If you want to listen to this masterpiece, put yourself in a mood of dancing on green pasture of music. Music does not bind itself with language… it has one language and that is music.

Melvyn/Alwyn has done a marvelous job in presenting this album.

Living Flame of Love
- Maxim, Spain

At the eve of the feast of John of the Cross that is on 13th December, we had a wonderful event here organized by the Avila government: It was a rare feast of art, music and poetry.

The theme was dialogue with John of the Cross. His poem 'Living flame of love' was played (4 stanzas on the cd player..) at the end of each stanza two each poets had their poetry.. So in all there were 8 poets.. giving vent to their inspirations on John's immoratal verses. It was interspersed with songs in Portuguese and spanish...

All was ofcourse in Spanish..
