Melita's Poetry Gives Comfort
- Hemacharya Mam, Dubai

When I had visited the site with a heavy heart to read the sad news of BV Balo's death, Melita Pinto's poem gave me the required solace, comfort and consolation. I was spellbound to see her poetry recital (which was a mix of emotions and expressions) during Melvyn's Kavita Seminar at Kalaangan recently. After the poetry recital I could not leave before thanking her mother for giving us such a young and talented poetess. Best of Wishes, Melita, keep it up.

Words of Appreciation Rejuvenate Me
- Maxim Lobo, Spain

Thanks for your beautiful words of appreciation. I am surprised, happy, humbled and floored. Really!

I only do the little bit that I am capable of. Infact too little.  I feel with my insignificant existence with konkani, may I not walk away with the cake?

May it keep rejuvenating me, it infact does. Our strange association has helped me in its own way in this strage land! Not that the land is stranger but I am strange to it!! Anyway, may konkani grow.

Heart Flows from its Bounty
- Maxi, Spain

I read the 'Fintam' review, as usual liked it. Congrats!
I keep reading everything on Kavitaa. I can only wonder in amazement as your good heart flows from its bounty at the editorials.  Bravo!

Nice poem e-kumsar by Remsy. I remembered the humorous article by Sunil Fernandes, Kota on maibhas.com.  All the best to Remsy.

Empire of Talented Poets
-Hemacharya

Very beautiful site dedicated to poetry.  I think first of its kind in our konkani world. You deserve all the compliments and the required support in this gigantic task. Few years back, after chafra was gone from this world, you were the only 'One man Gang'holding the 'poetry' flag aloft, but over the years you have built up your own empire consisting of a team of talented poets and am very happy to observe, and a bit jealous too -that you have succeeded roping in beautiful females in your forum. That itself is enough evidence of your success. May your breed grow. All the best wishes.

Kavita Kullar - a Delicious Cuisine
-Maxim Lobo, Spain

These days one of my deep joys has been reading the various poetries of our great poets and your thought provoking intros interspersed with our rich culture and immaculate Maaibhaas in the website.

What a delicious cuisine!

At times I have thought, if only we gave more importance to our maaibhas back home, if only we studied it more. When I say we, it refers to lesser mortals like me. If only we took a clue from the dedicated life of people like you who are on a mission in embellishing the mother, while being a voice that cannot be silenced.

Bravo! Good going.

This is the poetic coincidence: Here in Spain in time I will be studying one of our Carmelite mystics St. John of the Cross - the patron of poets in Spain. Couple of days ago, I had met one of our priests also from Mangalore just completing his doctorate. And what a comparitive study? St. John of the Cross - the patron of poets in Spain and Tagore - the patron of poets in India!

I will remain indebted to your work and keep savouring the 'Konkani Kaaz' and I have no doubt that with people like you around, 'thi pikazaich!'
