Asma's Poem
-Alwyn Danthy, Pernal
Nice kavita from a young emerging lady. Now a days many girls try to write poems of creative imaginations.
This poem is having weightage. The ending is slight shaky. Keep it up

Poem by Kishoo Barkur
-Maxim, Spain
Liked the poetry of Kishoo, Barkoor. The tale of a bridge that has to bridge gaps but only excels in keeping apart.
With his poetries that are in the kavitaa and the articles that I used to read, Kishoo looks so different: novel, rich, with a rare blend of technology and antiquity. My congratrs to him.
Wilfy Kinnigoly's poetry is composed with a touch of elegance.
Poetry of Auna Rao has among other things a great message to make things happen than waiting for them to happen in this world.

Hemacharya and Olivera Flavia's Poems
-Maxim Lobo, Spain
Liked the poetry of Hemacharya. It is an absolute beauty. While it highlights your silent, unceasing contribution to konkani literature, it is an ample proof of his poetic prowess. Melwyn, you deserve all of it; my congrats to Hemacharya as well.
Flavia's poetry is as delicate and gentle as the flower itself, beautifully done, great message. Well done.
Nanu is at his useful best. Unusual contribution to the konkani poetry. Good going.

Fulam: Poem by Olivera Flavia
- K.A. D'Silva, Dubai
Poetess has choosen one of the nice and simple object which we see and use everyday in our life. i.e flowers. There will be hardly few people who hate flower, otherwise 99% people in this earth love flowers from birth till death. She has used simple words to explain the existence and use of flowers to us in a short way even there was more scope to stretch this poem furhter more, but she kept her poem sweet and short which is appreciated.

Nanu Marol's evaluation of Poems through his Eagle eyes
- K.A. D'Silva, Dubai
Yes, it is very much true he scans each and every word before he evaluate any poems. Readers may think what is the need of critics in Konknai litrature. We never had anybody in this field before.
In modern literature we need the crictics. It is good that Nanu has fulfilled this void in our Konkani literature which we not had earlier. Critics play here two roles, one for writer/Poet and other for readers like us. For Writer/Poet pinpointing his weakness and stressing his strenghts will help him or her to work better. Other side for common readers like us, it will benefit us to undestand the poems very easily and we can come to know the value of writer/poet and his background.
It is not very easy to become crictc as we think. Nanu maintains a very balanced side in his criticism. First he pampers the Poet for his good work like a mother pampers her kid and then pinpoint the weakness with his commanding words as father does to his kid with a solutiion how to overcome the weakness. Critic is a new word in Konkani and there will be great scope of this in our literature. I hope more and more good critics will come forward to serve konkani literature.

Kavita Ghosti in Dubai by Kavita Trust
- K.A. D'Silva, Dubai
It was an excellent programme. Organizers have tried their best to entertain common people through Konkani Poetry like poets of other languages, especially Hindi and Urdu do. Even though we have read some of the poems earlier in print media, when we heard the poems in thier own voice filled with sentiments it was a wonderful experience.
I must say that Dinesh has conducted this poetry session with nice sense of humour which every one enjoyed. All the five poets have done very well to entertain us. We can understand that Kavita Guru Melvyn-bab has trained them very well.
Hope to see many more poetry sessions like this in the future!

Dubai: Konkani Poetry Enters into New Dimension - Budding Poets Show the way
- Rajesh
The poetry session was superb. Thanks to the organisers for encouraging new talents. It is very rare to see in this busy UAE, but these poets have used their precious time for konkani kavita. These poems have really come from the bottom of their hearts.

Poems by Flavi and Flora
- Maxim, Spain
I am glad as more and more women are making strong statement on Kavitaa. Congratulations to all of them. On International women's day the poems by Flora and Flavi could not have been better timed. While that of Flavi speaks in volumes the role of the mother, the poetry especially written for the day by Flora warrants the need of rightful honour women deserve in the family and gives a clarion call to the women themselves to be assertive. Women, do you hear that, go for it. May be I should add here that to be assertive is not to be aggressive. Congrats to the poets. Melvyn bravo for the platform you provide.

Linus Moras: Sports Writer turned Poet!
- Stephen Mascarenhas, Dubai/UAE
I use to read his sports articles late in the 70s, when Austin had just taken over the Mithr. While we were the backstreet boys of the same block, I had seen Linus competing with one more sports writer of the time, Tony Greg. (Antony D'Souza who left us behind for his heavenly abode, much ahead of time) But i hardly imagined that Linus can be a poet although i knew him and his heart as a compassionate friend and a humble human being who always jumped out for the help of needy and relevant social causes. I wish him good luck and continuity as we are reading him after almost 25 years. Kudos to Melvyn as well for coxing our old friend into experimenting into good poetry.
